Why did you become a part of Inspiration Bible: After suffering a massive brain haemorrhage stroke in July 2011. Ade required emergency life-saving brain surgery under an induced coma. He then spent seven months in hospital, relearning how to sit upright, feed himself, read, and speak clearly and coherently. He is now in the process of learning to walk (and hopefully dance) again! Ade together with his wife Kate have written their debut book, which in true Ade humour has been titled The Little Book of Hope for Stroke Survivors, Caregivers and Anyone Else Going Through a Really Shit Time. Becoming part of the Inspiration Bible was another opportunity to bring hope and inspire others. Ade’s wish is that his part in both books will inspire, motivate and give hope to stroke survivors and caregivers, as well as anyone else who may be struggling.

Ade Djajamihardja has been actively engaged in the film and television industry at a national and international level for over 25 years. Ade’s professional career began as floor-manager with ABCTV news at just 19 years of age. He has worked on such iconic Australian programs as: “Countdown Revolution”, “The Big Gig”, “DAAS KAPITAL, “The Late Show” and “Phoenix.” He served in the capacity of both senior producer and Chief Executive Officer overseas in Singapore and Malaysia. In addition, he co-produced the biggest historical epic film in Malaysia’s history, which was the first film from Malaysia to be short-listed to be considered for Oscar nomination. Ade, with wife and primary carer, Kate Stephens, own and run A2K Media, which specialises in media collaborations with Asia—and beyond.

As life’s ironies would have it, Ade joined not-for-profit organisation, Disability Media Australia, as a volunteer board member, just three days prior to suffering a massive stroke. Ade together with his wife Kate have written their debut book, which in true Ade humour has been titled The Little Book of Hope for Stroke Survivors, Caregivers and Anyone Else Going Through a Really Shit Time. The Little Book of Hope reached the Amazon best-seller status in two separate categories. Ade is also now a dynamic speaker. A keynote presentation by Ade and Kate is engaging, entertaining and energetic. Your audience will feel empowered and uplifted as they share their toolbox of ideas for creating a happier and healthier life both professionally and personally.
