Profession: Life Coach- Personal Change Agent ‘integrated personal trainer for the psyche’
Why did you become a part of Inspiration Bible: I jumped at the opportunity to contribute to the Inspiration Bible to share a message from the hundreds of individuals just like you and I whom I’ve worked with in palliative care, rehabilitation, aged care and disabilities who’ve found themselves at the end of the road in life reconciling their regrets. Even though I was in this space I never imagined it could happen to me, until it did. What I’ve learnt through working with these inspiring individuals I consider a gift which has changed the way I live my life. The following 5 most common regrets are a hint of what I’ve learnt and can pass along- 1. I wish I hadn’t worked so hard. 2. I wish I’d allowed myself to be happier 3. I wish I’d maintained contact with my friends. 4. I wish I had the courage to express my feelings. 5. I wish I had the courage to live a life true to myself, being my authentic self not the life others expected of me. Whilst this may sound like ‘common knowledge’ there are so many contributing factors that place pressure on individuals to succumb to the status quo. I do hope my story helps you to reflect upon just how precious your own life is and that you’re inspired to take the action to Live a life you are pleased to look back upon not tomorrow but today.
